Hello, and welcome to the AeBlog! I'm Ashley Brunell, and my husband, Isaac, and I are a wedding photography team based in Camas, Washington. We hope you grab some coffee (or a sweet tea, in my case) and enjoy viewing our latest work and getting a little peek into our life!

Making wedding photography easier (and more fun!) with tips on how to own your day!

Hi, I'm Ashley Brunell

Welcome Friends

October was a great break for me. It had been over a month since I had photographed a wedding and so I felt like I was ready to roll again! The forecast was great and the venue was just a skip and hop from LAX to KCI… this was going to be a wonderful fall wedding. Andrew and I grabbed lunch and then we headed out to the Nelson Atkins Museum to make sure the leaves were ready for the first look. It was an amazing 72 degrees as I headed downtown and the light was soft and perfect. We couldn’t wait to see Jessica and Mike again!

Once the first look and portraits were done, we headed to National Airline History Museum for the ceremony and reception. The venue was so different than anything else we’ve shot at and was perfect for this wedding and I’m SO glad we were able to shoot there!! As the sun started to set, it became a little chilly but Jessica never complained. In fact, I can’t even imagine Jessica complaining about ANYTHING. She’s seriously the sweetest person.

I knew I had hit the jackpot when I met with Mike and Jessica a few months back. Click here for a peak at their BEAUTIFUL engagement session. They’re a sweet, genuine and a GOOD LOOKING couple! I’m one lucky photographer. To work with such awesome couples and their families is such a privilege and this wedding was the perfect way to end my weddings in Kansas for 2018. Jessica and Mike I was so honored to be a part of your day and I can’t WAIT to show you how beautiful it was! Enjoy my favorites!

Big. Deal. I, on the other hand, just got done editing all […]

It’s hard to describe just how much Andrew and I loved this day. It was authentic and genuine and full of the best kind of emotion! Evan was in tears a large majority of the day and it melted everyone’s heart. My favorite part of their wedding was when Kelsi was walking down the aisle […]

There are some people that you know you’re gonna be friends with the moment you meet them, Sheena and Nate are those people!  I had driven down from Kansas City to my old stomping grounds of Topeka to meet them to talk about their big day and ended up talking about EVERYTHING. Sheena and Nate […]

I first met Kelsi and Evan at my favorite Starbucks about a two months before their wedding! Since we knew we’d be in a rush to get the engagement session, we had no choice but to schedule their engagement session at the perfect time: Summer. In Kansas. Haha! FORTUNATELY… they’re from here, so our 100-degree […]
